There are lots of causes of back pain and many short Kindle books are so generalized they offer little help. In fact, some suggestions could hurt you if you have a more serious condition, not just muscle strain.

This book clearly explains different causes of back pain and standard treatment. The author then gives many tips for helping back stress in every day life, all of which would help with any condition.

She also provides cautions with the usual back stretching and strengthening exercises so you won't make things worse!

I read this book for free and will buy a copy to keep.

Re-released with new title...still geat though!

I love Debra Glass's historical romances! A Duke To Die For was all that I hoped....lots of great storytelling along with steamy passion, action and adventure. Erika was a fun and feisty heroine who was fearless in the face of danger and Alaric was a strong and honorable hero. Together they had wonderful chemistry and a relationship that developed slowly yet surely. The fact that Erika was disguised as a man in the Prussian army certainly made things interesting. I enjoyed the time period and the settings came alive with detailed descriptions. I could picture so much of what was transpiring in my mind. This was an very enjoyable and entertaining novel.
*While I was reading this novel, I realized that I had read it before. I just noticed that it was released previously with the title More Then A Mistress, which I had read some time ago. I enjoyed re-reading it, but would not have purchased it if I had known.

Fun, sexy romp!

I really enjoyed this book! I'm usually an English regency reader and know little about this period, but I really had a good time with it. Erika is feisty and Alaric is trying to make up for past mistakes. Both are on a crash course for disaster to get to that HEA, but it's a tension-filled, sometimes dangerous ride.

I liked this book, I truly did, however there were things that frustrated me about the characters. Erica was so strong when she refused to marry the old baron and ran away. She did something courageous and I applauded her courage then. After joining the army as a man and being found out by Alaric, I found her truly selfish then. She caused him and herself to be constantly in danger of being found out and tried for treason. I know that it's just a story but I would have loved for her to at least tried to act more manly in public to protect him, than some love starved idiot allowing the other soldiers to believe that they were shirt lifters!!!

About the Author
Erika Hoff is professor of psychology at Florida Atlantic University. She has taught language development to undergraduate students at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside and, since 1996, at Florida Atlantic University. Dr. Hoff holds an M.S. in psychology from Rutgers-The State University of New Jersey (1976) and a Ph.D. in psychology from University of Michigan (1981). She conducts research on the process of language development in both typically developing children and children with language impairment, and has received funding for this research from the National Science Foundation, the National Institutes of Health, and the Spencer Foundation. She has published her research in Child Development, Developmental Psychology, First Language, The Journal of Applied Psycholinguistics, The Journal of Child Language, and the Merrill-Palmer Quarterly. Dr. Hoff has contributed chapters to LINGUISTIC DISORDERS AND PATHOLOGIES: AN INTERNATIONAL HANDBOOK (1993), THE HANDBOOK OF PARENTING, (2002), THE HANDBOOK OF PSYCHOLOGY, and the MIT ENCYCLOPEDIA OF COMMUNICATION DISORDERS.

Great introductory textbook for students or laypeople interested in language development

This book is written to be very accessible to it's readers - most books and articles that I read about language development are complex and require a lot of jargon to understand; this book clarifies that jargon and uses more accessible terminology to describe common theoretical constructs, as well as a detailed background in the theoretical arguments occurring in the field today.

This book is a comprehensive overview of the various areas of study in language development, which caters well to the diversity of interests and background knowledge of an undergraduate class.

Much improved from 4th Edition

I like this book. The glossary terms are at the back of the chapters for some reason, but they do have page numbers next to them which is very helpful. There are some changes in the editions, so don't get the fourth edition if your teacher has the fifth edition. You need the new edition if that's what the syllabus requires. It's a pretty good book that goes into detail and has lots and lots of research studies listed in it. Pretty easy to understand. Overall, a good pick for a language development class.

Read the entire book, and answered all the questions in all 11 chapters. Learned a lot about language acquisition. Worth the $190 spent... but I will be reselling it back to amazon for $150 since I don't need the book anymore. :)
