Hot erotic read

Hell yes, there was more that ONE HARD RIDE; there was actually a couple of hard rides. This was the hottest erotic read that I have read this year. After reading this book, it will have you up in knots with desire, desire and more desire.

ONE HARD RIDE was a very fast-paced erotic read that even if it was about 300 pages, it seemed so much less. A New York woman is ready to travel on a job assignment to Texas and she is ready with her cowboy hat and cowboy boots. But when she gets there, she finds herself in a violent storm in the middle of nowhere. Then she finds a cowboy and a cowgirl breeding horses, but when they started having some action of their own, Amanda can't seem to turn away and give them their privacy. That is where all the fun begins.

Staying in a ranch with two sexy-as-hell cowboys, Jake and Justin Morgan, is something any woman wouldn't mind fantasizing about. It seems that these cowboys, along with Luke, the foreman, like threesome or maybe even foursomes and they are all attracted to Amanda. They are ready to show her how to embrace her sexuality and teach her how passionate she truly can be. Only, one cowboy finds that he is extremely attracted to Amanda, and he thinks that there could be more than just sex with her. These three cowboys give her the ride of her life for six amazing, blissful days.

During those six days, you have your villain trying to get what he says belongs to him. The Morgan brothers are trying to save their ranch and Amanda is truly trying to help them to see if some of their artwork is authentic. But the villain is sabotaging their hopes of saving the ranch.

Everything happened so quickly between Amanda, Jake, Justin and Luke that it just seemed so unreal. Amanda was there to do a job and not the clients, but they did guide her in learning about her sexual appetite. This story also seemed to stop so abruptly I wanted more. That is not a bad thing and I truly hope that the author revisits these characters again and maybe one of my favorite characters can get his own book. Once Amanda sees how much fun it is to have more than one man pleasuring her, will it change her relationship with one of the men, and is he willing to give Amanda more of what she wants?

There is some public sex, group sex and/or voyeurism in this book, but if you're willing, I will cheer you on. On that note, I believe it makes this book even more interesting. If you are ready to read something out of your element or just ready to read something erotic, this is the book for you. Get ready to take a nice cool shower when you are done reading ONE HARD RIDE.

One Hard Ride is a fast paced erotic novel involving a New York art appraiser who has been hired by the hunky Morgan brothers to determine if a painting is legit in order to pay off a debt. In addition to the steam rolling off most of the pages, we also have action and drama from Winslow, their evil cousin, as the villain trying to take over their ranch.

I enjoyed getting to know Jake, Justin, Luke and even Julie but while I liked Amanda, she was a bit too unprofessional for me. I’m not referring to the whole sex with your client part of the plot but the way she spoke in general. Some of her interactions with the other characters seemed too unsophisticated for an upscale New York art appraiser. The interactions between Mandy and Richard (her boss) in the beginning of the story were again not what I would have expected and it took a little bit for me to warm up to Mandy.

While the sex was so hot and steamy and I felt like I should have taken a cold shower afterwards, some of the plot seemed a bit too good to be true. I don’t want to give away any spoilers but one bad thing happens, they come out smelling like a rose, then another bad thing happens but again they come out smelling like a rose. Why can’t things like that happen to me?

Overall, if you are looking for a hot, sexy read with some hunky cowboys I don’t feel you will be disappointed. I do look forward to reading more from this author in the future.

This is a quick reading story and if you like a great deal of sex in your story, then this one fits the bill. I think the sex overrode the plot of the story sometimes but overall, I enjoyed the book. Have to look for more by this author.

Amazing resource

I pre-ordered this book for my son and I have to say it has caused me to write one of my first ever amazon reviews. It really is an incredible guide to building with Lego. lots of full color diagrams, complete build instructions for many complex components that you can integrate into your designs. Linkages, mounts, gearing systems, the works. Discusses differences between stud and studless construction. Has some good simple explanations about speed/power/torque. Obviously it will be basic if you are a mechanical engineer, but if you have a middle or high school student this will give them a solid background into the physics as well as the design challenges along with some really great cookbook examples of components that will make their models great.

A Fantastic Introduction to LEGO Technic Building

Both new and experienced LEGO Technic fans will find Pawel Kmiec's Unofficial LEGO Technic Builder's Guide to be an excellent construction resource.

For the new builder, Kmiec offers multiple, full color illustrations on nearly every page, along with an excellent overview of beams, plates, bricks, gears and pins.

Meanwhile, expert builders will find themselves immersed in detailed explanations of linear clutches, ratchets, Scotch yokes, Oldham couplings and contraptions for which they never new the name! Best of all, though, is that Kmiec offers both mini and complete building examples to help the reader master each type of mechanism.

Whereas this book contains an incredible wealth of technical knowledge for all skill levels, one chapter that has incredible universal appeal is Chapter 11: Building Strong. Kmiec does a fantastic job of helping builders identify weak components or structural concerns, then offers robust tips for reinforcing gear boxes, strengthening load bearing structures and choosing the right parts from the start.

Since many Technic creations roll and/or move, Kmiec dedicates a good portion of his book to advanced mechanics, but even the newest Technic fans will enjoy these sections because he offers step-by-step instructions ranging from simple suspensions all the way to rough terrain tackling, pendular portal designs. Despite the complex sound and appearance of things, Kmiec breaks down concepts simply, ensuring your next car, truck, crane or robot will be remarkable.

Fans of both the old and new LEGO pneumatic systems will find two chapters dedicated to air powered contraptions, concluding with impressive instructions on how to build both a single and a two cylinder pneumatic engine.

Technic motors are favored by many builders and Kmiec offers a complete inventory of these mechanical marvels from past to present, followed by an interesting chapter on the various LEGO power supplies and remote controls. Kmiec concludes these chapters with a few fun projects on how to convert joystick-oriented remotes into more intuitive steering wheels (using Technic parts of course). Brilliant!

Adult LEGO fans looking to either educate themselves or advance their technical building techniques will find this volume to be the most comprehensive Technic resource available to date. Full of learning and fun

This book is full of learning and fun! This would make a great book for someone who wants to add some mechanical excitement to their Lego creations or perhaps a father who want's to teach his son about mechanics. Even for someone who has done some technic building can learn a lot from this book. It is almost like a textbook, but done in a fun and practical way. The book starts with the basics of parts and slowly starts teaching you how to use these techniques to create bigger and better mechanical elements to add to your creations. It even has chapters devoted to helping you add electric motors and lights to power and illuminate your Lego creations.

I would highly recommend this to anyone who may have an interest in mechanics and how things work. It is a fun and easy way to learn these things by building them yourself.

My little boy made me read it again and again.

David Hare's Stuff Happens is a profound literary work of historic and political significance. Hare is able to craft a drama from the historic record that not only reflects the complexity and subtle manipulations that occurred around the US's invasion of Iraq, but also is able to develop a compelling drama around the character of Colin Powell and his struggle to bring some glimpse of reality into a White House dominated by reactionary and rigid ideological dogma. Very few works of literature are able to fully capture the complexity of a historic or political event. Hilary Mantel is able to capture the reign of terror in A Place of Greater Safety and Gore Vidal is able to capture the character of a great president in Lincoln, but Hare must be added to the list of great writers who are able to capture complexity and yet retain a narrative thread.

In the short play, we see behind the scenes as President Bush makes poor decisions as he listens to the advice of Donald Rumsfeld and Dick Cheney. Cheney is probably the darkest character in the play. He is highly manipulative and Hare's narrative would indicate that Cheney knew much of the information fed to the US public was false information so as to be able to invade and maintain continued occupational forces in Iraq. There were many reasons to attack Iraq, such as their support for Palestinian suicide bombers, to protect Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Jordan; or to protect Israel. Hare never tries t pull it all into a simple package for he recognizes the issues are multi-factorial in origin.

The character of Colin Powell is crucial to the drama for as Secretary of State he must deal with the world and world opinion and try to serve a President who is influenced by Rumsfeld and Chaney into unilateral action, as if he were ruling by divine right.

We see the tragedy unfolding gradually. It is not until Tony Blair asks for back up that we see that Rumsfeld and Cheney are total unilateralists with totally unrealistic views of American power.

I hope that the play is brought back to the stage or put on film for it is compelling entertainment that is more frightening than any monster movie ever could be.

fascinating play

I enjoyed David Hare's documentary play very much. Though I found it unusually disjointed, it is probably much more palatable when it is performed, and what still compelled me to give it my highest rating is the content, being the many outrageous and surreal statements made by W, Rumsfeld, Cheney, Powell, Blair, et al, as well as depictions of meetings and events, all gathered together in one place, which really helps you appreciate the systematic deception presented to the American and British people. In the Author's Note, Hare states that most events and quotes are authentic, and he thanks his sources. My guess is that he received a great deal of help/material/insight from Colin Powell, whose recollection of events is of interest. A quick but chilling read.

The title of this decidedly anti-war play sets the stage for its theme: Asked about the looting of Baghdad, a glib Secretary of Defense, Donald Rumsfeld, remarks, "Stuff happens". In the play, a core group of presidential advisors gathers, discussing a strategy for unseating Iraq's Saddam Hussein, coupling this concept with the protection of America from further terrorist attacks, such as 9/11. Carefully weighing the advantages and disadvantages, paper warriors assemble behind closed doors in a series of clandestine meetings. The result will shock the world, the birth of the Doctrine of Preemptive Strike. Caught in the "lethal rhetoric of global wealth and privilege", the discussions yield a number of assumptions; right or wrong, these assumptions will remain a footnote to history, the cause taking on a life of its own.

An impressive cast of characters assembles: the Neo-cons, Paul Wolfowitz, Dick Cheney, Condoleezza Rice; the Brits: Tony Blair, Jack Straw, David Manning; the French, Jacques Chirac, Dominique de Villepin, Jean-David Levitte; the temporary voice of reason, Colin Powell; and the bit players, Hans Blix, Kofi Annan, Mohammed ElBaradei. The dialog goes on, endless ruminations broken only by short breaks for refreshment. Though nothing specific is articulated at this point in the play, events are set in motion, the majority of characters of the same mind. Adamant that military action is the method of last resort, the players perform a shadow dance, Kabuki Theater, their silence impregnable. Deals are made, Tony Blair mollified.

Secretary of State Powell is the singular voice of reason, given to practicality where the others imagine a more ambitious goal. But Powell capitulates and the great experiment grinds into high gear. The public demands action, reaction, desperate for a salve to heal a bleeding and humiliated psyche. America signs on for a war that promises quick, deadly efficiency, convinced we are in an untenable situation that can be alleviated by the invasion of Baghdad, that only a battle joined on foreign soil will forestall another domestic attack. Public debate is nominal and weighted in favor of a preventive strike, the media virtually silent; obscured by sturm and drang, the confident counselors of a war president wax eloquent in defense of their position.

David Hale brilliantly structures this great debacle, arrogant assumptions in pursuit of an idea, an ideal opportunity to change the face of the Arab world or "throw a match into the tinderbox and see what happens". Hare's characters prove that there are neither checks nor balances, the single voice of dissent importuned until even he assumes the cloak of expediency. All is achieved with a few key characters and a supporting cast, much of the language quoted verbatim. Rumsfeld and Cheney are avidly supported by a caustic Wolfowitz and fawning Rice, speaking for the President, who remains taciturn, if vigilant. Bush's quietude carries a weight of its own, as fearsome in his lack of participation as the apologists for war. History will ultimately judge this war, the country awakened by unimaginable violence, trusting its government for protection in a time of crisis. Mission accomplished. Luan Gaines/ 2005.

A NOTE TO THE READER:

Last fall we published Fifty Things To Do When You Turn Fifty, a book that contains essays from 50 different contributors on the subject of turning 50. By the time you read this, Fifty Things will be in its fourth printing, and will be among the best-selling books our company has published.

No sooner had we begun to mail out the review copies of Fifty Things when we began to receive queries asking when we intended to follow up with Sixty Things. One Journalist even went so far as to emphasize that the market for Sixty Things is roughly twice the size of the market for Fifty Things. Boomers have been turning 50 for the last ten years, he explained, leaving only 50 million of them who have not yet celebrated their big 5-0. There are still 100 million boomers waiting to turn 60, however. If you do the math this breaks down to thirteen thousand 60th birthdays per day for the next 20 years.

One hundred million potential readers? Thirteen thousand birthdays per day? What publisher could argue with numbers like these? Despite the fact that compiling and editing 50 essays for Fifty Things had added ten years to our lives, we picked ourselves up off the floor and went back to work on the sequel.

I have been asked by those who have read Fifty Things if there are noticeable differences in the essays that have been submitted for Sixty Things. Not surprisingly, there are. Many of the essays contained in Fifty Things encourage readers to accept the fact that they are maturing and use the experience of turning 50 as an impetus for change.

The contributors for Sixty Things tend to assume that readers have moved beyond their anxieties and at least begun to accept their more senior station in life. Their essays offer valuable, upbeat advice about how to be healthy, wealthy, wise...and yes, even happy, during our later years.

After reading through Sixty Things To Do When You Turn Sixty, I hope you have the same sense of promise and optimism about your senior years that I was left with when I finished editing the book.
